The new biosimilar medicine from Lek, a Sandoz company, strengthens the well-established Sandoz immunology portfolio in Slovenia and across Europe.

Sandoz invests $90M in a cutting-edge 9,500 m² Biosimilars Development Center in Ljubljana, solidifying Slovenia’s position as a European biosimilars hub, with 200 experts advancing cell line development, biotechnological platforms, and drug formulations to expand global access to affordable, high-quality medicines.

Sandoz has launched the construction of a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical production center in Lendava, Slovenia, aiming to establish Europe’s most efficient biosimilar manufacturing facility by 2026, creating 330 jobs, advancing sustainable healthcare, and meeting the growing global demand for biologics.
