At Adria Mobil, we have been committed to sustainable business practices for many years, ensuring responsibility towards our employees, customers, and both the natural and social environment.
The existing solar power plant, which has been in operation since 2012 and generates 12% of the company’s electricity needs, was expanded in 2023 with the addition of a new solar power plant, SE Adria Mobil 2. This enhancement strengthens our commitment to the green transition and a low-carbon circular economy.
The energy generated by the new solar power plant further increases our self-sufficiency and energy efficiency while reducing operating costs, carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions, and the company’s overall carbon footprint.
The new solar power plant, which will produce 0.5 million kWh of electricity annually, will contribute to reducing CO₂ greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 250 tons per year—equivalent to planting 7,500 trees for each year of operation.
With both solar power plants and the share of electricity sourced from renewable energy in the public grid, Adria Mobil will generate more than 30% of its electricity from renewable sources.
This approach ensures the long-term preservation of natural and social heritage for future generations.
The SE Adria Mobil 2 project is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the Cohesion Fund in the amount of €81,928.85.
