A New Milestone at Impol Foundry

Impol Foundry has successfully completed the first casting of 82 mm diameter cast bars, expanding its production capabilities to 72 mm, 82 mm, and 107 mm diameters, with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons, catering to diverse industrial applications.

In November 2024, Impol achieved a significant breakthrough at the Impol Foundry – the successful first casting of 82 mm diameter cast bars, made possible through collaboration with the expert team at Wagstaff. This advancement has expanded Impol’s production portfolio, enabling mastery of the technology for casting bars in diameters of 72 mm, 82 mm, and 107 mm.

What does this mean for the industry?
Impol’s cast bars are not only sustainable but also technologically and qualitatively comparable to extruded bars, unlocking numerous possibilities for application:

  • Classic and hot forging, as well as impact extrusion.
  • Integration across diverse industrial sectors.

Through continuous development and optimization of process parameters, Impol ensures that cast bars meet the highest quality standards and industry requirements. Additionally, with precision machining capabilities, Impol provides final diameters ranging from 65 mm to 106 mm, offering unmatched flexibility to meet specific customer needs.

Beyond dimensional versatility, Impol produces bars in seven different alloys of the EN AW 6xxx series and can tailor production to meet individual customer requirements.

Capacity?
With an impressive annual production capacity of 35,000 tons, Impol is well-equipped to meet the demands of modern industry and successfully deliver even the most challenging projects.
